On our way home

We left Newlands at 1.10pm and aim to be back at MTPS by 4pm. We will keep you updated with our progress.

We've all been very impressed with how year 6 have behaved during our stay. Everyone has been kind and considerate with each other and shown us how mature and well organised they can be. The girls have tackled all the activities with positive attitudes and should be very proud of their achievements.

Well done Year 6.

Goodbye Newlands

A few of the girls have been restyled during lunch and are now sporting this trips hair craze: the 'Barker bun' created by Mrs Barker for a quick bad hair day fix!

Canoeing

It's a beautiful morning and perfectly still water for the final canoe group.

Final activities

The girls have all been amazing. After a good nights sleep this year group have been the quickest and most organised at getting packed. Rooms were all cleared and tidy before breakfast. Some rooms needed encouragement to get out of their cosy beds but the thought of hash browns helped.

Groups are off to the high ropes, indoor climbing wall and the lake for canoeing.

Lights out

Goodnight - we're not exactly looking sleepy!

Bedtime at last

Lots of frenzied packing before bed. Items of soggy clothing gradually being reunited with their owners in between secret sweet eating and glow stick waving.

Races

One of the favourite races was the 'nappy' race. Lots of laughter as life jackets were worn as nappies.

Mini olympics

The chicken race involved the girls doing their best impressions of a chicken and transporting an 'egg' back to their team.
Harriet was the winning chicken!

Evening activities

There's a lot of packing to get done tonight. Judging by the drying room there'll be a few people needing to sit on their cases!

Mini olympics was hilarious. Year six have a never ending supply of energy and entertained us with a variety of whacky races.

Time to shop

Before we start our mini olympics there's time to check out the gift shop.
